We regret to report that Judge David Saucedo, TPS Trustee from Maverick County, announced his resignation from the board effective December 31, 2022. Judge Saucedo served on the TPS board for 11 years. Many of the groundbreaking decisions that transformed and improved TPS took place during his tenure. He will be sorely missed. We wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tyson Bennett, Superintendent of Schools at Sherman Independent School District, has been appointed to fill the vacancy on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Bennett has served the District since 2006 in multiple capacities. He has served as the District Superintendent of Schools since May 2022. Dr. Bennett earned his doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Southern Mississippi. He earned his master’s degree in Teaching from Austin College, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He will be a great addition and asset to the Board.

We congratulate Dr. Bennett on his appointment to the TPS Board of Trustees!
