Don’t miss your opportunity for FREE MONEY as part of the TPS Safety Grant Program! We have had a great response this year to the program so far, but all of us at Texas Political Subdivisions JSIF (TPS) would hate for you to miss out on your chance at this FREE MONEY!

The goal of this program is to help make high-cost items more affordable. This equals FREE money for the member. This program can fund or partially fund safety items that will assist in reducing or preventing injuries, property losses, workers’ compensation claims, and/or liability claims.

During 2022 TPS approved items for Yorktown ISD in the amount of $13,456, allowing the District to purchase eight AEDs. This greatly benefited the District as these items had not been budgeted. Other approved items included $9,301 to the City of Highland Village for various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, respirators, gloves, etc. Another member, Red Oak ISD, requested and was awarded ten flammable liquid storage cabinets for $11,150. These are just a small sample of the almost $100,000 awarded to members during the 2022 program. 

The deadline to apply is rapidly approaching. All applications must be received by the end of business on May 1, 2023, with approved applications awarded in August. We’ve all heard the adage: “You will never win the lottery if you don’t purchase a ticket.” Well, if you don’t apply, you won’t be eligible to receive a safety grant.  If you have any questions concerning your requests, do not hesitate to contact our loss control department.
