Compensation Study Questions and Responses
Texas Political Subdivisions Joint Self-Insurance Fund (TPS) is seeking qualified individuals and/or companies (respondents) to conduct a compensation study to update/refresh our existing pay plan. The TPS pay plan was initially implemented in 2018 and updated/refreshed in 2022.

Questions and Reponses
Question #1: Would TPS be open to a blended benchmarking approach that incorporates both Texas public entity pool data and broader market benchmarks where appropriate?
Response #1: Yes
Question #2: Are you requesting pricing on the 22 unique jobs or the 32 job titles in your pay plan?
Response #2: TPS wishes to update/refresh our full pay plan, so all 32 job titles should be included.
Question #3: Are the below listed titles included in that 32 job titles list or ones you want to add making a total of 40?
Additionally, TPS is seeking to add the following job titles to our pay plan:
• General Counsel
• Deputy Executive Director
• Chief Operating Officer
• Director of Risk Management
• Workers’ Compensation Claims Manager
• Property & Casualty Claims Manager
• Human Resources/Office Manager
• Claim Intake Specialist
Response #3: Those 8 positions are not currently part of the pay plan. TPS wishes to add them to the pay plan, so it would be a total of 40 positions.
